Shizhao Feng, born in 1937 in Tianjin, is a professor at China Ocean University and was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is one of the pioneers in storm surge research and an expert in Physical oceanography and environmental oceanography in China.
Mianping Zheng, born in 1934 in Zhangzhou, is the director of the Key Laboratory of Salt Lake Resources and Environment, Ministry of Land and Resources. He was elected as an academician of the China Engineering Academy and is one of the founders and pioneers in the field of salt-lake science and mining in China.
Buxing Han, born in 1957 in Beijing, is a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013 and is an international expert in chemical thermodynamics and green chemistry.
Duoji, born in 1953 in Tibet, is the chief engineer of the Geological Prospecting Bureau of the Tibet Autonomous Region. He was elected as an academician of the China Engineering Academy in 2001. He has been mainly engaged in the sedimentary geochemistry of marine sediments, and the exploration and development of salt lakes and geothermal resources. He is one of the pioneers in the exploration of geothermal resources in Tibet.
