International Symposium on Innovative Research and Application of Live Feed in Aquaculture & The 6th Edition of China Partners Academic Forum of Ghent University
Rationale
Aquaculture is an important pillar industry for ensuring national food security. As a core carrier of the "Blue Granary" and the "Big Food Concept", aquaculture provides high‑quality protein for humanity with high protein conversion efficiency, and serves as a key support for safeguarding livelihoods, and promoting rural revitalization. To address the critical challenge of insufficient supply of high‑quality live feed in aquaculture and to ensure the sustainable development of aquaculture, Tianjin University of Science and Technology and the East Asia Platform of Ghent University (Belgium) are jointly organizing this symposium in Beijing.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Ghent University East Asia Platform (formerly the China Platform). Over the past two decades, Ghent University has established long‑standing and stable cooperative relationships with a number of Chinese universities and research institutions, achieving fruitful results in talent cultivation and scientific research. The symposium will bring together experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and Ghent University alumni from China and abroad. The event will cover topics such as innovation in germplasm improvement of live feed organisms, optimization of efficient and low‑carbon production models, and enhancement of utilization efficiency and biosafety. The aim is to continuously improve the R&D in the live feed field and comprehensively strengthen the core competitiveness and technological innovation capacity of the industry.
