On May 23rd, Ma Yingchao, the deputy director of the Marine Technology Department of the College of Marine and Environmental Sciences and a teacher of the Asian Regional Haloidan Reference Center, and Dr. Xie Wei were invited to attend the Shishi City Marine Industry Postdoctoral Theme Salon and Marine Biological Resources Technology Promotion Conference held at the Quanzhou Marine Biotechnology Industry Research Institute in Fujian Province. This conference is guided by the Office of the Leading Group for Talent Work of the CPC Quanzhou Municipal Committee, hosted by the Office of the Leading Group for Talent Work of the CPC Shishi Municipal Committee and others, organized by the Quanzhou Marine Biotechnology Industry Research Institute, and co-organized by the Third Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The theme of the conference is "Intelligence Converses in the Ocean, Talents Revitalize Shishi - Jointly Building a New Height for Shishi's Marine Industry". Leaders from relevant units, towns, research institutes, experts (with doctoral degrees) in the Marine economy industry, and representatives of Marine economy industry enterprises attended this meeting to jointly explore new paths for the in-depth integration and development of the Marine industry under the background of scientific and technological innovation.

At the meeting, Ma Yingchao reported on the technologies and achievements of the Asian Regional Brine Reference Center in the development and utilization of Marine brine biological resources in recent years, and had in-depth exchanges with peer experts. After the meeting, Ma Yingchao and Dr. Xie Wei accompanied the delegation to conduct on-site inspections of three enterprises: Zhongyi Pharmaceutical, Hai Dao Da Shu, and Hai Xing Food. Through face-to-face communication, they learned about the core production technologies, innovation and transformation of achievements, quality management systems, and market expansion plans of the enterprises. They also discussed issues such as production process optimization and product research and development directions with relevant responsible persons. With the support of the Fujian Alumni Association of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Ma Yingchao and his team introduced the relevant scientific research achievements of our university to relevant departments, enterprises and experts, promoting the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research between local enterprises, research institutes and our university.
