According to the data released by ESI database in September 2024, the discipline of ENVIRONMENT/ECOLOGY of our university has entered the top 1% of ESI global ranking. This is another new discipline of our school to enter the global top 1% after 2022, and a total of 6 disciplines of our school have entered the global top 1%, namely agricultural science, chemistry, biology and biochemistry, engineering, materials science, and environment/ecology, among which agricultural science has entered the global top 1‰.

ESI (Essential Science Indicators, The Basic Science Indicators Database is based on the Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Sciences Citation) The analytical database established on the basis of the two types of academic papers included in the Index and the references cited by them is currently recognized by the academic community as an analytical and evaluation tool for measuring scientific research performance and tracking the development trend of science.

Based on the 10-year rolling data of Web of Science, ESI database for 22 disciplines, according to the cited frequency of TOP 1% scientists, TOP 1% research institutions, TOP 50% countries or regions, TOP 50% journals. Understand the number of papers published by a scientist, country or region, and journal, the number of citations and the situation of each citation, and provide a multi-angle analysis of academic achievements for science and technology policy makers, research managers, information analysts and researchers. The results are published every two months.
