To promote the downward allocation of marine-themed scientific and educational resources and explore a new mechanism for integrated education from primary to secondary schools and universities, on June 11th, the signing ceremony of the "Teaching Alliance" for collaborative education between the College of Marine and Environmental Sciences and Beitang No.1 Primary School was successfully held at Beitang No.1 Primary School.
At the ceremony, Dr. Ding Changling, a representative of the College of Ocean and Environment, and Chen Xuedong, the principal of Beitang No.1 Primary School, jointly signed the "Co-construction Agreement of the 'Teaching Alliance' for Collaborative Education". According to the agreement, both sides will fully leverage the disciplinary and professional advantages of the College of Marine and Environmental Sciences, integrating cutting-edge Marine science and technology knowledge, the spirit of scientific exploration, and the concept of Marine ecological protection into the practice of primary school basic education. Dr. Ding Changling was appointed as the vice principal in charge of science and technology at Beitang No.1 Primary School on the spot, and Principal Chen Xuedong presented her with the appointment letter. This time, she will rely on the rich Marine science and education resources of the college, actively participate in guiding the construction of the school's marine-themed courses and students' science and technology innovation activities, and provide professional guidance and resource support for cultivating primary school students' Marine literacy and environmental protection responsibility.
The "teaching alliance" platform for collaborative education jointly established this time is not only an educational model for the college to serve local basic education and promote the popularization of Marine science, but also an important practice for implementing the "Pioneer Plan" and creating a demonstration of university-local collaboration. Taking this cooperation as an opportunity, the college will deepen the educational ecosystem of "collaborative education and integration of science and education", promote the benefit of high-quality Marine science and education resources to basic education, and inject blue energy into regional basic education.
