Recently, Stanford University in the United States and Elsevier Data Repository jointly released the sixth edition of the "2023 List of Top 2% Scientists Globally." This list selects the top 2% of scientists from nearly 7 million researchers across the world, categorizing them into 22 fields and 176 subfields. It provides a more objective and authentic measure of scientists' long-term research performance. The list is divided into two categories: the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking" (focusing on the impact throughout the entire academic career to date) and the "2023 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking." Seven scholars from our university were included in the Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking, and 21 scholars were listed in the 2023 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking.
Being included in the list of the top 2% of scientists globally signifies that our university's scholars have a high global impact in their respective disciplines and that their research achievements have made significant contributions to the development of these fields. This is not only a recognition of the individual research capabilities of the listed scholars but also a full affirmation of our university's discipline construction. The university will continue to optimize the research environment, promote the innovative development of related disciplines and talent cultivation, further enhancing our global influence.
