On December 24, 2022, the Key Laboratory of Marine Resources Chemistry and Food Technology of the Ministry of Education held the 2022 Academic Committee meeting by video conferencing. Professor Zhang Su, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Han Buxing, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Key Talent Engineering Candidate, Professor Sun Jun of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Professor Guan Changlong, Professor Zhang Shicui, Professor Mao Xiangchao of Ocean University of China, Tianjin Distinguished Professor, Professor Wei Hao of Tianjin University, National "Jieqing", Deputy Director of the Nanhai Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Du Yan Researcher, Lin Mao Researcher of the Third Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Director of the Ministry of Education Engineering Center, Professor Cao Jilin of Hebei University of Technology, Professor Deng Tianlong, Director of the Hundred Talents Program and Key Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Lu Fuping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Professor Tang Na, Director of the Science Key Laboratory of Education, Science and Technology Department, School of Oceanography and Environment, School of Chemistry and Materials, School of Food Science and Engineering and some teacher representatives attended the meeting.

The first stage of the meeting was chaired by Director Donna. Professor Lu Fuping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school, delivered a welcome speech, expressing his gratitude to all the experts for their participation and strong support to the school and key laboratories. He hoped that the experts would give valuable opinions on the development of the Ministry of Education key laboratories.

Academician Zhang, Director of the Academic Committee, presided over the second phase of the Academic Committee meeting. Professor Deng Tianlong, Director of the Key Laboratory, made a work report on behalf of the Key Laboratory, mainly from the aspects of team building, research content and academic contributions, innovative scientific research results, discipline development and talent training, open communication and operation management of the laboratory this year, and put forward the construction ideas and development plans of the laboratory for the next year. Subsequently, Professor Sui Liying, head of the Asian Regional Artemia Reference Center, gave an academic report entitled "The Biological Basis of the Development of High-Value Products of Halophilic Microorganisms and the Conservation and Utilization of Artemia Resources".

The experts of the Academic Committee listened carefully to the work report and academic report of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education this year, affirmed the progress made by the laboratory in all aspects, and put forward guiding suggestions for the future construction and development of the laboratory. Subsequently, the experts of the Academic Committee reviewed the key laboratory's 2022 open fund application project.

Finally, Professor Lu Fuping sincerely thanked the experts of the Academic Committee for their constructive opinions on the future development of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory, and said that they will fully absorb the opinions and suggestions of the experts of the Academic Committee to promote the high-quality development of the laboratory.
