Inheriting the cultural foundation of academic style and establishing a scientific moral atmosphere. In order to maintain good scientific research ethics, andresist adverse research practices, the College of Marine Science and Environment held a lecture on scientific ethics and academic integrity construction in the 9-14 step classroom of the library at the Binhai Middle Campus on the afternoon of November 17th. This lecture invited Vice Dean Zhao Liang of the college as the keynote speaker, and all newly promoted supervisors of 2023, as well as all graduate students from the 2022 and 2023 academic years, attended.

Teacher Zhao Liang emphasized to the faculty and students the necessity of scientific ethics and academic integrity construction. By listing examples of research misconduct and real cases of academic dishonesty, he illustrated the harms of academic misconduct and provided detailed explanations of the behavioral standards for scientific ethics and moral norms. He organized the faculty and students to study and discuss documents such as "Opinions on Further Promoting the Spirit of Scientists and Strengthening the Construction of Work Style and Academic Integrity," and expressed his earnest hope that all faculty and students in the college would adhere to scientific ethics and create a good academic atmosphere.

A good academic atmosphere requires the persistent efforts of all faculty and students in the college. The purpose of this lecture is to cultivate the spirit of seeking truth and being practical, as well as diligent research among the faculty and students, so that they can uphold the principle of developing scientific ethics and research innovation together, resist academic misconduct, and strive for establishing excellent work ethics and personal growth.
