On April 21, 2024, it was hosted by the Professional Committee of Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis of the Chinese Chemical Society and co-hosted by Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Tianjin University of Technology. Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., LTD., Qinghai Citic Guoan Lithium Development Co., LTD., SDIC Xinjiang Lop Nur Potash Salt Co., LTD., Yuntu Holding · Yiyantang (Yingcheng) Healthy Salt Salt Production Co., LTD., Jinsheng Marine Technology Co., LTD., Shandong Haihua Group Co., Ltd. co-organized the "21st National Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis and Salt Lake and Salt Industry. The Development Summit Forum was successfully concluded. The closing ceremony was presided over by Professor Deng Tianlong, head of the Innovation Team of Comprehensive utilization of brine resources of the Ministry of Education and chairman of the organizing committee of the Congress.

The Academic Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis of the Chinese Chemical Society is the highest level and largest academic event in this field in China. The conference lasted for 3 days, and held a variety of academic activities such as 2024 Salt Lake and Salt Industry Development Summit Forum, 5 featured theme sub-venues, Frontier Crossover Forum, Youth Forum, thermal analysis - Calorimetric -MD Simulation Computing basic training course, wall poster exhibition. There were 191 reports of the conference, including 13 invited reports, 11 invited reports, 56 invited reports, 48 youth forums, 63 oral reports, 118 wall newspaper displays, 244 abstracts of conference papers, and 14 thermal analysis manufacturers participated in the instrument exhibition. The opening ceremony of the conference and the 2024 Salt Lake and Salt Industry Development Summit Forum were broadcast simultaneously.

There are representatives from Tsinghua University, Henan Normal University, Northwest University, Nanjing University of Technology, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, East China University of Science and Technology, Chengdu University of Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Wuhan University, Qinghai University, Xinjiang University, Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Process Engineering, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 660 people from 165 universities and research institutes, including Qinghai Institute of Salt Lake Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, who have long been engaged in chemical thermodynamics and thermal analysis, salt lake and salt industry, young and middle-aged scholars, as well as industry and enterprise representatives attended the conference. Foreign experts such as Chairman of the International Steering Committee of IUPAC International Conference on Solution Chemistry, Professor Toshio Yamaguchi from Fukuoka University of Japan, Researcher Kenji Mochizuki from Zhejiang University, and Professor Xu Qiming from Yunlin University of Science and Technology of Taiwan were invited to give the conference invitation and special invitation report.

Xiaoping Yu, Associate Researcher at our university, and Xia Chen, the Professor of our University, made invitation reports on "Special Salt Development and Utilization of Salt Lake and Geothermal Water Resources", "Research and Practice of Salt Wastewater and Waste in Complex Systems", and Professor Huan Zhou made invitation reports on "Thermodynamic and Dynamic Basis of Salt Lake Production Process Optimization". Doctoral student Jinghui Li and graduate student Congcong Sun respectively made a youth forum report on "Electrode regeneration and alkali metal ion influence Mechanism of electrochemical Lithium Extraction" and "Research on thermodynamic model of Solid Liquid Equilibrium of Ternary System", fully demonstrating the latest research progress and scientific research achievements in chemical thermodynamics and thermal analysis, salt lake and salt chemical industry of our university. And through the form of wall poster display of scientific research achievements 9, attracting extensive attention and praise from domestic experts.

The conference selected 12 Youth Forum awards and 20 excellent wall poster awards. Jinghui Li, a doctoral student at our university, won the Youth Forum Award, Chi Ma, a doctoral student, and Xinru Li, a master's student, won the Excellent Wall Poster Award.

The conference will also organize a special issue to publish the excellent results of the conference in the field of Chemical thermodynamics and thermal analysis, salt lake and salt industry outstanding journals "Recent Innovations in Chemical Engineering", "Green Chemical" Engineering and Salt Lake Research. The three-day conference has a prominent theme, closely related to the situation, rich content and strong organization, and has won extensive attention and unanimous praise from scholars at home and abroad. The successful holding of this conference will help promote the construction of chemistry, chemical engineering, Marine science and other related disciplines of our university, promote the development of salt lake and salt chemical industry, and enhance China's international influence in the field of chemical thermodynamics.
