Appendix: Speaker Introductions:
Guo Xinyu, Ph.D., Professor, currently serving as the Director of the Coastal Environmental Research Center at Ehime University. His research focuses on the Kuroshio and shelf/shallow sea circulation, marine lower trophic level ecosystem modeling, transport models for larval stages of aquatic resources, and transport processes of nutrients and persistent organic pollutants in shelf seas. He has published over 180 academic papers, with nearly 160 in SCI journals. He has contributed to five books, including "Illustrated Nitrogen and Environmental Science" and "Changing Asia-Pacific Marginal Seas," and served as an editorial board member for the Journal of Oceanography and the Japanese-language journal "Kai no Kenkyu" of the Oceanographic Society of Japan. He has been a councilor of the Oceanographic Society of Japan since 2015. As of August 2024, his papers have been cited over 4,700 times, with an H-index of 36 (Google Scholar). He has led 16 projects funded by organizations such as the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, and participated in over 20 projects funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.
Murodjon Samadiy, Ph.D. (Postdoc), Professor, and Deputy Director of the Tashkent Chemical Institute in Uzbekistan, specializes in research within the field of comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. He has led and completed three projects on the design of mineral resource separation equipment, published over 10 high-level papers in the industry, obtained five authorized invention patents, and published one monograph. He has won the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements from the Surkhandarya Autonomous Region and the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements from the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
